Foodie weekend in London

by Caroline

My first post on “Petit déjeuner Voyageur”, is all about London and how to experience a foodie weekend in London. You’ll read more about the places I had the chance to discover during my last trip there, in February 2020. It’s also a great opportunity for me to immerse myself once again in my sweet travel memories 🙂
My trips to London over the last two years have all been very nice surprises, but this particular trip was on the occasion of an anniversary. So I had carefully chosen each restaurant, and spoiler alert I was not disappointed at all!

For a breakfast to go

Walking through the famous Borough Market, one of the oldest and largest markets in the world. My choice was, obviously, a scone & a flat white coffee!

By the way, I’ve already shared a scone recipe on the blog : homemade blueberry scones

Lunch for a special occasion

A Japanese-Brazilian-Peruvian fusion restaurant. The view is incredible, from the 39th floor of the Heron Tower, and the pairings are as surprising as they are delicious. Don’t forget to book for your lunch (or dinner: but in that case you have to book well ahead of time).

A Hotel Breakfast for gourmets

Breakfast at the Standard St Pancras Hotel is just delicious. I recommend it 100%, especially to give a try to these tasty banana & coconut yoghurt pancakes…

Brunch at the Madera restaurant : an incredible view & amazing Mexican flavors

You shouldn’t hesitate to give a try to hotel restaurants. It seems that this is a more common practice in London, compared to Paris. That being said, I highly recommend the Treehouse London restaurant. After a recent opening in late 2019, this Mexican-influenced restaurant was known to be one of the Londonien restaurant not to be missed in 2020. Not to mention the incredible view. I was really not disappointed and I definitely look forward to experience a dinner there once!
PS: be careful to book well in advance

I truly hope that you’ve enjoy this post waiting to live your own Foodie weekend in London!

Just walking up and down
Maybe it’s because I’m a Londoner
That I love London town”
